Agrecovery recycling centre for plastic containers

No need to burn or dump... recycle your agrichemical, animal health and dairy containers!

Through the Agrecovery programme, Progressive Plant Solutions offer a FREE recycling collection site for your 1-60L plastic containers. They are recycled right here in New Zealand into a safe end use product. Visit our recycling centre at 346 Waitohi Temuka Road. Follow the sign from the saleyards.

Prepare and drop off your containers for inspection

Empty and triple rinse the containers
Do not remove the label
Remove lid and discard
Remove wire or plastic handles from pails
If possible, puncture holes in the container to ensure all liquid residue drains out

All containers are inspected before they can be accepted at Agrecovery collection sites. This ensures your safety and that of those operating the programme. Products belonging to our participating brand owners can be recycled for FREE. We'll also give you a collection receipt to prove you've recycled your containers through Agrecovery.

Types of plastic containers that you can recycle

Most plastic HDPE (2) agrichemical and animal health containers can be recycled through the Agrecovery programme, including some HDPE Plastic Pails. The containers and pails must be products of the brand owners that support the programme. If you have containers which are not covered under the programme you can still recycle these through the programme by purchasing “User Pays” stickers from the Agrecovery website. These stickers must be placed on your containers. Visit www.agrecovery.co.nz for a full list of eligible products.
